One must appreciate when designers go 'original' with not only their inspiration but it's execution too. Mahin's bags are a load of love and a lot of funk. Made from tail to top in Pakistan these bags are yummy treats for all!

Paid for your Ipad? It's not over yet!
How much is too much! Sometimes the extent to which the Fashion Industry will milk it's customers is insane... okay i accept we knew this was coming, with the obsession with a posh fully blinged out Iphone cover this is naturally the next step. Regardless of my Ipad being a gift, i wont be paying hundreds of dollars for a cover! Thank you very much!

Vivienne Tam: Not 'just' for the love of fashion.
The Spring Summer collection at Vivienne Tam was a quiet a refreshing break from the dark, and structured mood from the designer in recent collections. This fresh and breezy collection was owed to the 'Silk Road.' Tam followed an easy and understandable approach to inspiration with pretty cotton net patchwork dresses and neutral crochets. With warm colors, breezy silhouettes, a relaxed pair of sandals and a lived in feel in the clothes, Tam gave the perfect Ode to the Silk Road.
Not only that Vivienne Tam dedicated the show to the people of the 'Silk Road'... More specifically called out for help for the Flood stricken Pakistanis. To learn how you can help Vivienne's cause visit the following:

Naeem Khan: The Glam Guru!
Naeem Khan presented a collection which had something for everyone! From floor legnth evening gowns to heavily embellished dress. From flirty print to cocktail dresses. I absolutely love this collection... Also a little collage for all the notice worthy looks from the master of 'Glam' in the past, the Style Stripped way !

Time to raid your Mom's closet! Stat!
All that is old is new again, but with a twist! So we all have been a witness to the wests' obsession to every thing 'Desi' ... and increasingly 'looking indian' has become a USP for products. Justifying a hefty price tag at that. Sometimes it excites me to see something looking 'Baluchi' on Net-a-Porter and at the same time my blood boils to see how a bag out of Liberty in Lahore or Zainab Market in Karachi carries a hefty price tag of $1465 !! Any hoooo the lesson for us? Time to raid our mom's old suitcases and jewelry boxes... am surely on it!

Across the Border Lovin': Part II
The stunning Divya Kapoor of Bridal Asia spotted in a an equally gorgeous 'Honey Waqar' ensemble. The dress allows the print to breathe so beautifully not cluttering it with embellishment and Divya wears it well keeping accessories to the bare minimum.
not a fan of Fur!
... call me crazy but Fur is an absolute fashion faux for me. Whatever the from, whatever the color.. texture etc anything at all. Even the advent of faux (fake) fur adds to the undeniable and rather unnecessary obsession of the fashion world to fur! Any hoo... Fashion Shows are always dotted with these looks.. sometimes bearable and sometimes down right Yuckk!
