Budget Talk!

No! its not about who can spend the most, its about who can spend it right. There are pieces that we call investment pieces, these items are either always in trend or style classics. Then there are items that either go in and out of fashion real quick or are used rarely ... no point in spending a fortune on them.

But the ultimate budget style tip is to spend on things that 'look' expensive ... Style Stripped brings you 8 bags that look super expensive but will cost you just a fraction!

The tan leather Bucket by Zara is a very elegant option, its understated elegance is very 'Prada'; the leather quality, color along with the uncomfortable shape of the bag screams luxury.
The top handle Asos has a very vintage shape and a very 'MIU MIU' color palette, its just too cute to pass.
The Aldo is well - very 'Kelly' but in a non pretentious way, the tassel is a very chic feature and the bag doubles as an across the body bag.
The crimson top handle with the golden hardware is a very yummy accessory by Dune, which surprisingly are making better bags every successive collection.

The crocodile bag by ZARA, is an absolutely gorgeous vintage-esq bag, this box creature is as good as an IT bag. The Mandarin beauty by Mango is a small but intensive dose of trend. Lately coral, orange, mandarin have been the rage. New look can never be trusted for quality, however if your looking for a budget buy to follow the neutral trend or/and the top handle than this is it.
My favorite of the bunch is hands down this gorgeous top handle by River Island. The gorgeous two tone leather plays extremely well with the bamboo handle and the vintage hardware... TO DIE FOR!

Shoewawa: Why pay an arm and a leg?

Ok so all of us can't be billionaire daughters or trophy wives! A bit of reality is a good way to deal with fashion, and the truth... the bare truth that none of the money centric magazines, selfish stylists and your rich friends will tell u - IS - Money don't buy style!

All you need is an open eye, a queer interest in 'changing' fashion and ... well Style Stripped!
So here's taking you on a journey of savings and more savings... starting with those you can never have enough of? Shoes!

Top right corner are shoes called 'brogues' or 'oxfords' These male looking shoes have been in and out of fashion through time, now's a good time to take out yours. Fit for high waisted trousers, cropped pants, shorts or even a dress. Check out these street style brogues for ideas...

Invest in a pair of brogues only if you live in a western country and if so try a pair by NDC (as shown) via NAP otherwise i strongly feel a trendy buy as such shouldn't be too expensive so grab a pair from your trusty H&M for a mere 25 pounds! Yayyyy

Bottom right corner : A gorgeous pair of our lovely red soles, these loubs are to die for... sadly so is the price, but no fear Top Shop to the rescue, get your steel heels for a fractional price of $160. These will take you from day to night easily. Although this particular pair of Christian Louboutin is an investment piece.

Top left corner: The most important pair of them all! Your cinderella shoes for the high fi december weddings and committee parties... you can't deny them any more!
If you NEED to show your wearing Choos then this lovely pair is from the new collection and looks real pretty in real, otherwise save with a pair from heels.com ( they have a fab budget collection btw)

Our last mention is the leopard print flat. I personally can't ever have enough of animal print! But it's tricky so don't go all dashing out on it. It needs to be worn in perfect proportion to the rest of your outfit. It's no doubt a loud statement so you might need some assistant and who better than a gorgeous model and an accomplished designer to get a clue from...

Alright troops thats it for now, write to me if you have any queries, i read ALL my mails ...

Missoni for Target ... I'll have ... Everything!

The much awaited Missoni for Target collaboration has surfaced. The American giant target has come together with the timeless family business of Margherita Missoni.

The collection includes absolutely everything! From luggage to crockery, from a bicycle to knitwear. The iconic zig-zag print is visible on almost all the items and thus born a budget signature line by Missoni.

Get the Look!

Do the chic this summer with a printed kurta and a gorgeous bag in neutral shades. Simple solutions are not just easy, practical but gorgeous too. Spend your summers away from 'tailor' made issues! grab a few kurtas, try block colors from Khaadi or Printed shirts from Elan.
Shops like Monsoon, H & M and warehouse are good bets for longer dresses/shirts that if paired with skinny jeans or choridars make a beautiful summer statement.

Invest in a gorgeous Hermes kelly, if its your first you know it should be orange or black! The Fendi Peekaboo bag is a recent hit from Fendi, although it doesn't excite me as much. For students or budget spenders Asos.com is a sure bet for trendy affordable accessories.

There's always time for bags!

Feel like its time to discuss some new bags, its summer everyone's off to holidays and with a little help from Style Stripped you can make the right decision of your next IT bag...

The two bags in this first installment are sublime reincarnations of classics.

The YSL blue holdall : Ysl has always been known for its blacks and blues, its intense 'man-i-fication' of everything woman or/and man. This particular holdall is insanely classy, very elegant but not in a sophisticated, feminist way. This bag speaks of power, class, control and yet says 'im ready to have some fun' thanks to the color. Make a strong yet fresh statement with this gorgeous tote. It'll prove to be excellent college bag, travel companion and even a mommy bag for all those yummy mummies out there...!
The bag will set you back 1,035 at net-a-porter, $1,495 at Neimun marcus... and if you want it delivered to Pakistan then my best bet would be saks.com. neimun's however have the most variations in this gorgeous bag.

  • The other classic revisited is the Fendi Baguette: This gorgeous little bag is actually insanely spacey (is that even a word? oh well! ) and rightfully so called the 'Big Mama bag' ... how cool is that right? the color speaks fun, glamour and action!
  • The leather is the most gorgeous i've seen post toga on a Birkin. So whats not to love? The color, the leather, the gorgeous tortoise detail on the handles and the buckle and the oh so affordable! Price :D $1,400 only.. and trust me when i say only, cause the leather is amazing!
Happy Shopping!

Ramadan Kareem!

It's more about prayer than hunger,
It's more about eating together than eating out...

It's more about the needy than you.

Ramadan Kareem. Make it count.
