Kamiar Rokni: Runway Review
Every fashion designer over the world tries to come up with a collection that is international yet with a strong sense of their own country and Kami this time has done just that. Summer trends to love according to me are color blocking, under the sea, athleticism and wild print. Kamiar went for the print trend like many other designers, but he hit the nail right on! To start with the prints are beautiful ( hoping they're in house otherwise imported 'thaans' run out in liberty and thats it!) and the cuts are gorgeous, very coachella freedom fest. I love the idea of a jacket over a formal floor legnth gown, gorgeous! Loved the vintage feel... especially the shoulder leather bags with the tassle detail.
How gorgeous that he took a bow in flip flops!

Meher Tareen: Spotted!
Meher Tareen was spotted at a recent fashion week looking her chic self! A simple black dress afforded her the luxury of gorgeous loud accessories. Surely a front row worthy look.

Elan: Runway Review
The collection follows an oriental theme. The designer was inspired by oriental images collected over the years. The display was well rounded in every aspect. There is every kind of silhouette and some especially very flattering for the Pakistani women allowing great coverage in terms of drape over the lower area. The beautiful fabrics are treated to in-house sequin work and the prints are self developed, both the factors command great respect. The colors are very pretty and trendy. A bit of neon, a bit of jewel and all the shades right for this summer. One of the very few cohesive collections at the Fashion Week, was an absolute treat to watch.

Khadijah Shah of Elan... and a Pizza!
Style Stripped spotted Khadijah Shah of Elan taking a break from all the fashion hoopla at the PFDC Fashion week. Yes! she does eat and looks gorgeous while at it. Khadijah wears a YSL clutch which had been spotted on Sabene Saigol earlier in red. She wears her own label, the very recent 'oriental inspired' collection for the Fashion week.

Sania Maskatiya: Runway Review
A critics dilemma is always to balance a review with the effort put in by the designer and what the collection offers in reality. A nicely embellished dress will no doubt attract you and look pretty but I have huge respect for designers who invest their time and efforts in technique. Technique such as prints developed in-house makie it to the top of my list.
Sania Maskatiya is one such designer who has developed a niche when it comes to prints. A perfect cohesion is evident from inspiration to execution. Her latest collection called 'Uraan' is about birds, nature and flight as the name suggests. The garments majorly made up of shamoz silks, crepes and chiffon were treated to screen printing, digital printing and computerized embroidery. Silhouette wise the collection had much to offer, ranging from wide pant to cigarette, cape to wrap and jackets. The collection stroke a perfect balance between commercial and editorial. Loved it thoroughly.

Shehrbano Taseer: Best Dressed at PFDC Fashion Week Day IIII
This is what you call fashion forward. Shehrbano has always had a great sense of style, never overwhelming but never boring. She has hit the nail right on target with this gorgeous dress by Elan meant for the runway no more than 2 days ago! The dress is very flattering on her physique and she does it full justice with minimal accessories. A pair of mute Gucci sandals do the trick to complete a chic fashion forward look.

HSY: Ruway Review.
The HSY collection came as the finale of not just one day but the whole event, the PFDC Fashion week. The hype and excitement was very justified by the theatrics, the resort cum pharaoh charade. However the big man of the fashion industry didn't justify the finale with the collection on display. The satin pleated dresses were badly constructed, the work in terms of embellishment was the very same as had been since a few years now. The only thing resort about the collection was the color palette missing the very important shades of blue. HSY productions will do wonders I'm sure, there's no denying his expertise in that area.
